Real Estate Blogging Works

Hello Real Estate People!

You CAN show up high in Google organic search results. It’s not a mystery or arcane knowledge that delivers success directly to your web site. I’ve shared the secret with dozens of agents in my area and with one exception… they have all yawned.

What is this proven system that just one local agent has boldly adopted? What led her to a million dollar buyer the same week she started following my advice?  I’ll get to it, but stay with the story for a minute.

Why do most agents in this down market continue to ignore the road to success I have paved in front of them? The answer, my readers, is the same for every turning point in industry and commerce. The dread of change exceeds the need to change. The status quo wins, the timid multitudes lose, and the dreamers, the doers, and the pioneers move forward to the next thing. If you are ready to embrace change, read on.

The internet is in the process of ending the traditional practice of real estate .  The change won’t happen overnight, but the collapse of the bubble is going to accelerate trends that have been in place for years.

  • People love to search for themselves
  • Agents and even local MLS’s are losing their monopoly on information
  • Auxiliary services like loans and even escrow services are emerging online

In the uncertainty and confusion that are part of every major change, people look for assistance from resources near them. What that means for agents is that to attract and hold new clients, you have to establish a strong and useful presence on the internet. That’s where real estate blogging comes in. Writing strongly and naturally about the neighborhoods, listings, and communities you know best establishes your online reputation. Google is an honest broker of search results, and if you are a frequent and original commenter on your areas of expertise, you will be rewarded with good search rankings and increased site traffic.

Will everyone who blogs get a million dollar buyer their first week? Of course not. Will you get calls and emails about what you write? I can almost guarantee it.  Send me your URL and I’ll be happy to give you some free advice about making your site more Google friendly
